BEAUTIFUL GAME

After the Ghana-Uruguay World Cup match today we have anothe reason to call football the beautiful game. Incredible show. I watched it with my friend Olivia at the Public House in Los Feliz. Everybody rooting for Ghana (underdog); myself rooting for whomever was down. Poor Suárez. Poor Gyan. Poor Asamoah. Poor Ghana. Grande Loco Abreu. You gotta have balls to kick that penalty like he did. And Gyan missing that penalty in the extra time of extra time...Spectacular. That kid will have nightmares for a while. I don't envy his waking up tomorrow. But c'est la vie. That's why soccer/football is the best sport in the world. It just is. Life is grand.
